SKPA helps parents by listing a photographer who has taken steps to familiarize themselves with the differing needs of children with special needs and their families. Accreditation means a photographer has completed a Special Kids Photography of America workshop, has passed a written test and submitted images of special kids that were reviewed and approved by a panel of judges. Families are encouraged to meet or speak with photographers and discuss these issues prior to hiring their services.
